Day 7-8 Pen. M'sia Trip - Malacca-Cameron Highlands 23-24 Dec 2013

We woke up in the morning perform Fajr Prayer then pack our stuff for another activity. a light activity before we move to Cameron highlands. Since we want to move straight away to Cameron, we refill the NGV again. :) remember our trip is a budget trip. so in cameron we have to make sure the petrol and gas are enough to cover back and forth. (incase we need to go through a very steep road, so we have to change to the Petrol (My Sayam did tell me about this..so i share with u here. heheh.. save save save!.. hahah planned to Cameron is not our initial plan. we just try our luck to check for a hotel through booking.com. owh yes, i forgot to tell you that ALL of the hotels we booked online through booking.com or agoda. but, mostly from booking.com because i dont need to have cash in account instead because it is just to guarantee. but normally, i used to play safe, make sure theres some amount there. compared to agoda.com YOU MUST PAY... its not about turning upr or not, but its all about laziness to bank in the cash into the account which is not your salary account. ok enough talking about it. so now i managed to get the hotel and at the good rate. remember, we are not going to stay at a 5 star hotel its ok for us to stay at a 0-3 starts. hahah.but i normally look for ratings in booking.com. i normally go for 8 stars and above (rating in Booking.com ya..not the star of the hotels.ahaks!!) so i managed to get this hotel. the Country Lodge Resort, located on top of the hill. and with nice view. CANT COOK here! coz the staff will always go around and check. sometimes we do smell curry and etc. hahahah.. we spent there 1 night and the rate was RM100++. the concept is more like an apartment. 1 main door, covers 4 rooms. and the room is not that big but still okay. the review score if im not mistake between 6-7/10.. We ate curry (packed bought at the simpang pulai RR, and also we bought rambutan and someone gv us durian. we slept a bit late ehehhe..enjoyed chatting btw me n hubby while both of our kids were sleeping nicely!
Next morning, checked-out, then we went for sightseeing, photo takings, and strawberry self picking at the strawberry farm, slogn the road you can see a lot of stalls and people are sellign the straberry chocolate. dont miss this thing! then you can shop for strawbery or just buy it at the counter. honestly, not worth of self picking, coz they are actually have picked all the straberries for sell, but it s nice for photo takings if u wish to pick the strawberry on ur own.. remember.. hehehe. nothing is free in this world!!
then, climbed up to the Mount Brinchang and had picnic there. lighted up the stove, fried sousages, maggi and ate durian and rambutan. Marvellous!! SInce we stayed there quite long, we became like tourist guide coz most of them will ask us how long will it takes if we walk through the trekking, then how far is the peak of mount brinchang.. hahhaha... so, me and hubby started to explain Professionally! ngehngehngeh.. the weather was quite sunny but still okay. #no need to wear winter jacket ya, coz i saw local people with winter jacket!huwaaa... at the strawberry farm.
After finished cooking.. we packed all stuff and ready to go down and drive back to perlis. BUT, hollycow, my lovey dovey poo poo.. so, have to clean them first. luckily, we always bring wet tissues and water with us.so.. we have to clean it.. :) it took 1-2 hours (depending on the situation, if during the holiday, pls get rid of this place...there will be a lot of people and end up u have to go down..we faced it 2 times before) to drive down the cameron highlands.  before i forget, we went up through simpang pulai, we came down through Tapah (u can shoose either to go throughtapah or simpang pulai).
At strawberry farm.. self picking - RM30 for half kg.
. We drove straight to Kangar and reached kangar before 7.00 pm.. total cost incurred for this trip was less than 1k and we covered kl-johore-malacca-cameron highlands. i forgot to write down all cost incurred, but in the future i will definitely do. so that others will benefit from that!
Sightseeing at the Mount Brinchang.

Day 6 Pen. M'sia Trip - Johore-Malacca 22 Dec 2013

Johore to Malacca is not that far. it takes only 2 hours coz Muar is very close to malacca. we refil the NGV there at ayer keroh. Fyi, in Ayer Keroh we can find 2 station with NGV. so you may need to survey about the stations prior your traveling to the destinations. In Malacca, the first place to go to is of course The Information Centre or can also get the information about the interesting places in Malacca at the Zoo Malacca (like what we did..keh kehkeh..).. so here s the map of Malacca. I forgot where did i put the original MAP. but basically, u can google it.

This birthplace of the nations's historical and cultural heritage, Malacca has a long and illustrious past. its reminants are well preserved and can stlll be seen today, earning in the prestigious title of UNESCO World Heritage City in 2008.
There are a lot of places to visit such as Porta Se Santiago (Melaka Tengah), Stadthuys (melaka Tengah), Replica of Melaka"s Sultanate Palace (CUltura Museum), Melaka River Cruise (the place we stay), Jonker Street (Hard Rock Cafe is by walking distance from our hotel), Zoo Melaka, Bee Museum, Melaka Butterfly and Reptile Sanctuary (We didnt go to this place but its location is next to Crocodile Park (have to pay entrance fee as well), Melaka River Cruise ( we did it..and enjoy..)
At the balcony of the River Song Residence.

Since there are many places to visit. so, you have to plan the schedule. we reached thereat about 1 pm, we went to the Crocordile Park(Taman Buaya Melaka).

Hehehe..
After that we went to the hotel for check in at the River Song Residence. it cost RM98.00/nite. it is suitable for backpackers with the sharing toilets (outside of rooms), 2 single beds. the room is quite small but its ok, coz we just want to sleep not for a long stay anyway. and the most important is we can see the cruise right from the balcony. and thank god, we chose this room! ahaks! (but to find this residence is quite confusing because both of us were not familiar with the roads, and it took 2 times to look for it. Tell you what, the structure of the buildings are a lil bit like in Paris. all with the signboards and most of the people there are chinese. on the way to the hotel, we passed by the china town (like the one in Petaling street), and it called Jonker Street.
Then at night we went for dinner at Asam Pedas (forgot the restaurant name but the asam pedas was awesome!.. famous one in Melaka (the restaurant was located at the corner where we can find asam pedas, with a lot of tables anrrangged along the street (i remember, once a week there will be pasar malam /night market at this location. )then we went for river cruise (the pix are as at the top of this post )
how to get there by road (i cant explain much coz i m not good in explaining those streets, but i remembered we park our car at the car park very close to that place:-

Location to Catch the Cruise

There are two jetties, one at each end of the route. You can begin the cruise from either jetty:
  1. Muara Jetty, next to Quayside Heritage Centre, close to the Maritime Museum easily recognisable by the replica of the Portuguese ship Flor De la Mar. From here the cruise takes you upstream as far as Taman Rempah jetty where the boat turns around and brings you back to the starting point. The round trip takes 45 minutes and covers 9 km.The boat'srecorded commentary will begin on the return leg of your journey (from Taman Rempah to Muara Jetty).
  2. Taman Rempah Jetty, where a small spice garden is located, next to the Hang Jebat Bridge linking Jalan Tun Mutahir to Jalan Tun Sri Lanang. From here the cruise travels downstream as far as Muara jetty where the boat turns around and takes you back to the starting point. The round trip takes 45 minutes and covers 9 km. You will hear the recorded commentary as far as Muara jetty. On the way back you might be treated to Abba's greatest hits or a similar soundtrack.
Although I saw some posters advertising a hop-on, hop-off route, that option does not appear to be available at present and you can only do a round trip with no disembarking en-route. That's a pity.

After finished river cruising, we went to the Jonker Street (

Day 5 Pen. M'sia Trip - KL-Johore 21 Dec 2013

This picture was taken on the way to Johore. We are goin to my Sayam's bff which is located at Muar. i dont know which Parit. but, its not an issue. He will be waiting for us and meet us somewhere on the way there. and we will be spending 1 nite there and enjoy the sup kambing there and also laksa muar. We reached there at a 4++ pm. and the weather was nice and we really enjoyed the kampung feeling. wahhh.. im falling in love with this place! just look at my kids. they really love to play with the original red stone and grass. i dunno the grass name. pls apologise.ahaks!
See! look at my lovey dovey's face. hes afraid but he is enjoying and later he tried to touch the grass slow and quietly... and later on he began to enjoy them! YES!

Owh..super cute.. hes afraid of grass.. huwaa.. now i have to let him sit on that and get familiar with it. me also sit on that and play. insyaALLAH, he s getting better now.
Along is smiling as always!! full of excitement! otw to Johore
After having our dinner at Muar town, dont miss this sup kambing @ goat's soup..hahaah.. soooo delicious! me myself finished up 1 bowl of mee bandung the famous dish in muar, and 1 bown of kambing soup and also otak2 (made from fish and flour.a bit spicy but i just love it!! the taste was Yummy! We spent about RM40 for 4 people. means 10 per head ok! *save*
Facts:-
Money Matters:-

1) Tol from North (say Hutan Kampung) - Tangkak, Johore :RM 79.50
2) Seport Kar ; NGV- can topup at Penang, Simpang Pulai, KL, Malacca(ayer keroh). If im not mistake my Sayam refill at 2 locations only. ! thing to remember is, make sure u know the location to refill the NGV. Note: normally the NGV is located 1-2km from higway. Means, u have to exit the highway coz the petronas station at the highway doesnt have NGV. full tank for NGV is RM12.30. Sayam wrote somewhere.. but dunno where is that paper.else i can describe here. how much he spent for NGV. but i can say here ; max is RM20.00. Forgot to write, in kl, i did shopping for my kids, clothes few pairs. spent about RM200.00 (max plus food RM50.00). so, it means KL-Muar we spent RM339.50. My budget for this trip is only RM1k all in (accommodation, meals, shopping a lil bit, tolls, parking, entrance fee, petrol(if needed).
Again.. hahaha..
This is another Lovey dovey in action.. he refused to put his foot on it.. aishh!!

This was taken after dinner. we spend few hours (my sayam n his friend) chatting. while me just watching my babies playing with the bicycles and etc.

Me and kids. the gurl is pak ya's daughter.

Hi lovey dovey.. he enjoys playing with the stones and didnt want to stop..and he even cried when i took him for a shower. hahahah

I love to play here! I am giving him the exposure to feel the kampung lifestyle.this is what we call kampung! cold and quite at night..

this was captured near the beach. i forgot the beach's name. but there got 2 play grounds. and they really love it..

Along! waitt.. OMG! This is pretty high for me Bonda!
Ok, enough for today. tomorrow we will move to Malacca. the historical place.
